She begins dancing in a private school directed by G.Kergrist, teacher and former dancer of the Paris Opera Ballet.
Following the preparatory course, she enters at the Paris Opera Ballet school.
She works there during four years and takes
part with the performances presented, as a soloist.
She dances in particular: Les deux Pigeons, Boîte à musiques , Mouvements, Le Festin de l’araignée. After the final examination of the first grade, she joign the corp of the Paris Opera Ballet.Delphine is fifteen years old when she enters in the company. Very quickly, she dances many ballets of the repertory as well as more contemporary works: Jardin aux lilas, Dark Elegies (Antony Tudor) Concerto Barocco, Symphonie en trois mouvements, Le Palais de Cristal (George Balanchine); Notre-Dame de Paris(Roland Petit), the Rite of Spring (Maurice Béjart); In the Middle, somewhat elevated (William Forsythe), Have time goes by (Twyla Tharp) ;Tanzschule (Jiri Kylian); Les Biches (Bronislava Nijinska); Glass Pieces (Jerome Robbins)......
1986 She is promoted "Coryphée",
1987 She receives the « Prix carpeaux »,
1988 She is promoted "Sujet" following the annual exam and gains this same year the « Prix de la critique , the « Prix spécial du jury » and the « Prix Repossi » following the Contest of the Third International Dance Festival of Paris.
1990 She receives the « Prix de l’ A.R.O.P » (Association pour le Rayonnement de l'Opéra de Paris) given each year to young talented dancers of the corp
Her strong personality, a remarkable sense of acting and an increasingly sure technique, will enable her to be successfully confront with many roles, which the choreographers will cast her.
She will work thus under the direction of. Maurice BEJART, John NEUMEIER, Jerome ROBBINS, William FORSYTHE, Pierre LACOTTE, Rudolf NOURREV, Roland PETIT and Twyla THARP, who invite her to create and restage, several of her ballets at City Center of New York and on tour in Japan
1994 She is promoted as « Première danseuse ».
With this promotion, she will access to leading roles.
She will dance in particular Kitri in Don Quichotte, Odette-Odile in Swan Lake, Cinderella and Bayadère in the productions of R.Noureev for the Paris Opera, The concert and In the night of J.ROBBINS, Coppelia of P.BART, Midnight summerdreams of J.NEUMEIER, Les variations d’Ulysse of J.C GALOTTA, the wonderful Doux mensonges of J.KYLIAN, Shéhérazade de Blanca LI…
2005 May 3rd , 2005, she is promoted Danseuse étoile by Gérard MORTIER and Brigitte LEFEVRE after the performance of Cinderella at the Palais Garnier.
Plebiscited by the public and reviews for her dramatic interpretation in a large repertory, Delphine MOUSSIN is regularly invited to perform with companies such as the ballet of Leningrad, where she danced Giselle and Swan lake, the Opera-théatre of Metz for Cinderella, Nutcracker, Don Quixotte.
She also brings her contribution to several prestigious official events like the International Night of Childhood, in favour of the protection of the child, placed under the patronage of Mrs. Giscard d' Estaing, and bringing together several international artists, or those organized by the Cartier Foundation and Solidarité AIDS.
